CALL TO ARTISTS:
NORTHEAST DIVISION SUBSTATION MURAL
Theme: “Community+Creativity+Collaboration”
Description: Feel inspired to create a vibrant design encompassing East Dallas icons, including White Rock Lake, Dallas Arboretum, Casa Linda Shopping Center, etc.
Creative Arts Center of Dallas invites artists to submit proposals for a site-specific indoor mural (8’ x 12’, see images below) to be created at the Northeast Division Substation, Dallas’ largest and busiest police substation located next to Flag Pole Hill at White Rock Lake as a public/private partnership with the Dallas Police Department and the Creative Arts Center of Dallas. Artists are invited to submit up to three total color renderings encompassing the artist’s interpretation of the aforementioned theme. The deadline for submission is March 15, 2019.
The Northeast Patrol has always had tremendous support from the citizens of this area. Northeast personnel strive to implement crime prevention programs and crime reduction initiatives to help improve and maintain the quality of life of each citizen residing or working in the northeast area.
With a population of 267,000, the Northeast area is one of the fastest growing and diversified areas in Dallas. The men and women of Northeast Patrol are proud to serve this area and will continue to do so with professionalism and dedication.

GUIDELINES:
• All artists are invited (more than one artist or group of artists may collaborate on a mural entry together).
• Artists must submit a short bio and up to three total color renderings to info@creativeartscenter.org in the form of 72 dpi digital images in JPEG format. All proposals submitted must be original works of art and include a written statement of the artwork.
• Artists will be notified via email no later than March 30, 2018 if their proposal has been accepted. The chosen artist will be awarded a $1,000 gift certificate to Creative Arts Center of Dallas. Work will commence immediately with the artist given up to a $500 stipend for materials. The mural must be completed by May 15, 2019.
