CAC often hosts exhibitions for community groups or schools. In the past, we have hosted art shows for organizations representing homeless people, senior living centers, schools and people with mental illnesses. Our objective is to provide community awareness of social issues in which art can make an impact.
We host two annual exhibitions featuring the work from clients of The Bridge, Dallas’ largest homeless service center as well as Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing & Visual Arts whose visual arts students who take on-going figure drawing classes at CAC. For more information, please contact email@example.com.
From Nine to Ninety: A Retrospective of the Sculpture of Robert Pollock is presented in collaboration with the Moody Performance Hall and features 19 contemporary sculptures from the long-time student at CAC, who studied under the school's founder Octavio Medellin. There will be a special artist reception on Sunday, June 3 from 3pm to 5pm in honor of the 90-year-old sculptor.
All sculptures will be available for sale at the close of the exhibition in which proceeds will be donated to CAC. Click here for photos of the collection and pricing information. Contact Diana Pollak at (214) 320-1275 for more information.
