No matter your skill level, you can absolutely learn the basics of drawing and boost your creativity! This course is perfect for beginners and those with minimal experience, offering a series of fun and simple mark-making exercises. You’ll explore tools, techniques, and handy tips that lead to quick, visible progress. Plus, we’ll work with a variety of mediums, including graphite, color pencil, oil pastel, and chalk pastel. You’ll also discover different composition styles, learn how to create depth, add texture, and develop perspective in your drawings. And the best part? No prior experience is needed!
This is a 4-week class.
Classes will not meet the week of Thanksgiving 11/24 - 11/30.

- Drawing Room, Building C, Creative Arts Center, 2360 Laughlin Dr, Dallas, TX 75228
- Supplies:
- For the first day of class meeting, please bring a sketchbook (8.5 x 11 in), 2 pencils and 2 erasers (Kneaded, Magic white, or a similar brand), pencil sharpener, 2 ink pens and a ruler. Additional supplies are required for this course; the instructor will have a hand-out of that supply list in class.
