Welcome to the ancient yet surprisingly modern world of stone carving. First-time students will experience the excitement of a Michelangelo experience, learning about stone, carving techniques and studio safety. We will be starting off with traditional hammer and chisel just like the old masters used. Returning students will experience a continuation of traditional tools while adding the modern element of pneumatic and electric carving tools. Advanced students will be encouraged to push the boundaries of their imaginations and experience. All students will learn aspects of sculpture design while working on their own original designs.”
