Glass Fusing for Mosaics (Pater 2-Day Workshop 8/9-10)

8/9 - 8/10 8/9 10-4 PM; 8/10 10-2PM
Pater

In this workshop you will be introduced to the basics of glass fusing by using a microwave kiln. Additionally, we’ll explore a multitude of uses fused glass creations can have in your own mosaic artwork. Have you ever thought of another way to make eyes or a dimensional nose for your mosaic animals? Or to create iridescent drops of water that reflect beautifully in the light. Or even just a ton of perfectly rounded dots for a huge flower. The workshop goal is to explore and share ideas of even more ways to incorporate these small creations into your work. All of this can be done easily and less expensively in a microwave kiln. As mosaic artists, we are always learning new techniques to hone our skills and expand our knowledge base to keep things fresh for our creative minds. Consider this yet another tool for your toolbox!
