Live Model Lab

This group is for anyone interested in fine art live figure drawing or painting. Held at the Creative Arts Center of Dallas, these sessions are conducted on a weekly basis. The three-hour uninstructed session which are facilitated by a professional artist. Model poses are held no longer than maximum of 30 minutes.

Each artist should bring their own art supplies, canvas, drawing pads or paper, brushes, pencils, etc. CAC provides easels, chairs, small tables and drawing boards. CAC schedules a variety of live models for these labs who will posing nude, so we expect protocol to be followed (no photography allowed).

Ceramics Lab

This is a fantastic chance for students to utilize the studio space. Labs are held at the Creative Arts Center of Dallas and are uninstructed. Labs are 3 hours long and you can use this time to finalize last year's projects, experiment with glazing, kick off a new creative endeavor or network with your Ceramics community. Teaching Artist, Tabatha, will be available to assist, answer questions, and offer guidance as needed.

 

Jewelry Lab

The Jewelry Lab is a great time for students to utilize the studio space. Labs are held at the Creative Arts Center of Dallas and are uninstructed. Labs are 3 hours long and you can use this time to finalize last year's projects, experiment with glazing, kick off a new creative endeavor, or network with your jewelry-making community. Teaching Artist, Rebecca Swann, will be available to assist, answer questions, and offer guidance as needed.

Mosaics Lab

The Mosaics Lab is a great opportunity to make use of the studio space. Labs are held at the Creative Arts Center of Dallas and are uninstructed. Labs are 3 hours long and you can use this time to work on last sessions projects, experiment with new techniques, kick off a new project or simply network within your mosaic community. Teaching Artists, Jan Thomas and Rebecca Collins, will be available to answer questions and offer guidance as needed.
