Figure Drawing (Smith Thursday Evenings)

Whether you’re experienced with figure drawing or just starting out, this class will offer ample opportunities to investigate, explore and improve your drawing skills. Working from live models we will investigate a wide range of methods and materials for getting the figure down on paper. Each session will explore techniques for visually evaluating the figure then transferring that information into expressive mark making. Classroom discussions on classical and contemporary artists, critiques, and drawing assignments will help build your personal knowledge and skill levels, and your love of drawing.
