Printmaking & Paper Arts
Printmaking and paper arts classes at the Creative Arts Center of Dallas cover the hands-on craft of making multiples and working with paper — relief and block printing, intaglio, screenprinting, monotype, and papermaking and bookbinding. Beginners carve and pull their first prints, learning how image becomes ink becomes paper; the surprise of lifting a clean print never quite wears off. More advanced classes go deeper into technique and editioning.
Classes welcome adults at every level. The studio provides the presses, screens, and shared equipment that make printmaking possible; you bring a few personal tools and materials, listed on each class page. Classes run as full sessions and as shorter workshops for a single method like linocut or screenprinting a poster.
Printmaking rewards patience with results you can't get any other way. Our instructors are practicing printmakers. As a nonprofit community art center, we keep classes accessible — our scholarship program helps cover tuition for students who need it.
