Teen Beginning Drawing

Instructor Lorena García leads these drawing classes designed to help students develop the essential foundations of artistic observation. Through exercises focused on proportion, value, and confident mark-making, students will learn to observe with intention, understanding shape, light, and structure rather than relying on preconceived ideas.

Each session aims to strengthen visual perception and technical control, guiding participants to draw what they see instead of what they think they see. In this process, observation becomes a powerful tool for creating drawings that are accurate, expressive, and filled with purpose.

The concepts explored in this course, including observation, proportion, and value, are grounded in the principles of realism. Together, they provide students with the technical foundation to create lifelike and visually convincing drawings.
