How to Draw Hands Workshop

Single Session Workshop
Sunday 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
8/9
8 of 8 spots available
Alison Ledbetter

Learn how to draw hands with confidence in this one-day workshop! We’ll tackle the complexity of the human hand by breaking it down into simple, manageable steps.

First, we’ll focus on basic forms and proportions. Throughout the day, we’ll gradually build on that foundation by adding detail and shading for depth and dimension. By the end of the class, you’ll have a clearer understanding of how to effectively portray hands so you can apply it in whatever your preferred style and medium.

We will be drawing during the first section of the workshop, so drawing materials will be required. However, later in the day when we introduce values, students are welcome to bring their preferred two-dimensional medium of choice. Whether drawing or painting, it’s recommended to bring both light and dark colors so you can achieve a full range of values. If you want to keep drawing with pencil or charcoal the whole class, that’s fine too!
