6/3 – 6/24
4 of 11 spots available

A four-week art journey through the vibrant world of birds in watercolor, designed to help you break free from any fear or nervousness about the medium and discover the joy of expressing your artistic voice. From the iridescent flash of a hummingbird to the bold silhouette of a cardinal, each week will guide you through capturing these beautiful creatures while embracing the natural flow and movement that makes watercolor so magical.

Through proven weekly art prompts, you will learn tips, tricks, and techniques from an instructor who not only works and teaches in the medium of watercolor but has also built a career as an award winning artist with her artwork represented in galleries throughout the US, internationally, and actively showcased in nationally ranked art festivals. Sarah Janece's teaching style leads with embracing the creativity that is unique to each individual while working to advance their artistic skills and creative abilities.

Each week's class will begin with an interactive painting demonstration to guide you along the project prompt followed by step by step guidance to ensure the watercolor process can be a freeing experience. You'll explore techniques for capturing feathers, movement, and the personalities of your subjects, leaving the class with a collection of beautiful bird paintings and the confidence to keep creating.
