The classes below bring together the most beginner-friendly classes at the Creative Arts Center of Dallas: classes built for people picking up a brush, a chisel, or a lump of clay for the very first time, and for anyone returning to art after years away.

No experience is assumed and nothing is expected of you. You'll learn the fundamentals at a comfortable pace, in a small group alongside other people just beginning or finding their way back. Whether you've always wanted to throw a pot, learn to draw, weld, or make a piece of jewelry, this is the place to start — across nearly every discipline we teach.

Key studio equipment is provided; any personal supplies are listed on each class page and are yours to keep as you continue. As a nonprofit community art center, we believe cost shouldn't keep anyone from starting — our scholarship program helps cover tuition for those who need it.
