Figure Drawing (Smith Wednesday Evenings)

6/3 - 7/22 6:30 PM - 9:30 PM
Smith
8 of 8 spots available
Meets weekly

Get loose and get it on paper. Working from live models, this 6 session Figure Drawing Class will focus on techniques for rapidly evaluating the figure then transferring that information onto the page using big bold strokes of charcoal and pastels.

Whether you’re experienced with figure drawing or just starting out, this class will offer ample opportunities to investigate, explore and improve your drawing skills. Classroom discussions on local art events, contemporary artists, group critiques, and home drawing assignments will help build your personal knowledge and skill levels, and your love of drawing.

We’re going to do a lot of drawing and use up a lot of paper. We’re going to get our hands dirty and probably our clothes too. As a wise man once said, “You can’t build a skyscraper with one brick and a white tuxedo.”
