Expressive Watercolor Painting | Byfield | Tues afternoon

Designed for painters who have had experience with watercolor but would like to increase their confidence about using the medium and designing their own artworks. This course will go beyond painting basics to introduce more sophisticated concepts of paint application, design, and content. Students should have substantial proficiency painting with watercolor and be comfortable painting their own subject matter and not that provided by the instructor.

Lessons will include problem challenges for students, demonstrations, and presentations of the range of possible solutions. Students will be encouraged to experiment and will receive personalized feedback. At the end of the course, the student will have some new paintings and additional confidence about their approach to painting. Bring your customary materials. This course changes each time it is offered and will have a different focus each time it is offered. Students are welcome to take it multiple times.

Course fee includes $25 for teacher-provided materials as needed. Class on Tuesdays, 1:30 – 4:30 pm.
