Learn how to take your paintings to the next level at “Plan Your Paintings for Success”, CAC’s one-day workshop at the Creative Arts Center of Dallas.
Watercolorist Kay Byfield will help painters of all levels improve their ability to plan artworks from the initial concept to the final piece.

Following a review of how key elements and principles of design can be used to support the intent of a painting, Kay will show participants how to choose reference images that have the best chance to become great paintings.

After students select an image, Kay will help them apply the compositional fundamentals to design their painting and create a value study that will be the basis of their painting. By the end of the day, participants will have what they need to execute a final painting.

Beginners and more experienced painters alike will benefit from this class. Enrollment is limited to 10 students to ensure sufficient personal attention for each artist.
