Fall Short Courses & Workshops

Looking for a shorter art class or weekend workshop in Dallas this fall? The Creative Arts Center's short courses and workshops are built for focused learning without the eight-week commitment — single-session workshops, weekend intensives, and multi-week short course classes that fit around a full schedule.

These are the classes to choose when you want to try a new medium, learn one specific technique, or make something start to finish in an afternoon. Build a ring in the jewelry studio, throw a few bowls, or spend a Saturday on watercolor or printmaking. Many make excellent gifts, or a first introduction for someone curious about a craft but not ready to enroll in a full session.

Workshops are open to adults at all levels, and most are designed so beginners can walk in with no experience and leave with finished work and a real feel for the medium. The core studio equipment is provided; a few workshops ask you to bring or buy a small supply or two — personal items you keep and reuse — and those are noted on the class page. Class sizes stay small, so you get hands-on time and direct instruction.

As a nonprofit, our goal is simply to get more people in Dallas making art — and a short course is the easiest way to start. If tuition is tight, our scholarship program can help cover the cost. Apply here.
