Jan Thomas studied art in college but found her ideal artistic medium from mosaic classes, here at the Creative Arts Center. For a number of years, she worked almost exclusively in the Picassiette style, using broken dishes. But has expanded her interests & now also enjoys working with stained & fused glass to create pieces in a variety of styles. She was a free-lance Stylist for commercial photographers for almost 2 decades & also acted as a Location Coordinator for the Dallas Film Commission. She earned a BA from the University of Texas at Arlington.
