Int/Adv Watercolor

Come on a Watercolor Adventure! In this class, you will explore the versatility of watercolor through a variety of tools and application techniques, surface preparations, and paint additives. Composition and design will also be part of the discussion.

Through creating small paintings and experimenting with the techniques demonstrated each week, participants will discover a repertoire of methods to enhance their own creative work.

Bring your usual painting supplies (be sure to include paper towels or tissues) and some inspirational reference material for the first day of class.  Additional easily available supplies will be discussed the first session. The instructor will provide some materials.

You will come away with:

• experience with many watercolor techniques and tools that you can incorporate into your own work
• enhanced design skills
• personal style insight
• your own ideas for further experimentation

Prerequisites:

This class is for intermediate/advanced artists and is focused on experimentation and exploration. It is not suitable for beginning painters. A good understanding of fundamentals is needed for confident experimentation.
