In this class, you will work with a different watercolor technique each week, using a variety of tools and application methods, surface preparations, and paint additives. If you have been painting with watercolor for a while and want to explore the medium further, this class is for you.
Through experimenting with the techniques demonstrated each week, participants will discover many ways to enhance their own creative work. Come with a playful attitude and you will leave with experience in a wide range of watercolor possibilities, ideas for further experimentation, and insight into your own personal style.
For the first class, bring your usual watercolor painting supplies (be sure to include paper towels or tissues). If you like to work from photo references, bring a selection of pictures to work from. Or you may choose to work from sketches or to follow an abstract, intuitive path. Additional supplies will be discussed during the first class, and some materials for your experiments will be provided by the instructor.
Please note, this class is for artists who already have experience painting with watercolor and is focused on experimentation and exploration. It is not suitable for beginning watercolorists. If you are not sure this class is a good fit for you, contact Robyn: robynjorde@gmail.com to discuss.
This is a six-week class.
